SCHOOL RECORD PUNT RETURN LIFTS KNIGHTS OVER LIONS (5-0, 3-0 NE8)

by EN Football on Tuesday September 22nd, 2026

The battle between Leo and East Noble has turned into quite the event over the last few years. Friday was no different during the showdown at Leo High School. After a scoreless first quarter, the Lions punched one in before the halftime break to take a 7-0 lead. Another scoreless quarter came and went before the Knights scored, but missed the PAT. Another consistently strong performance by the defense forced Leo to punt and that allowed Alex Scott to return a 95 yard punt for a touchdown, setting a new school record for longest punt return for a touchdown. The previous record was held by Jordan Gater with a 93 yard return in 2009 against Wawasee. Easton Kline was 3/8 passing for 66 yards. Austin Phillips had 69 yards on 12 carries and 2 receptions for 17 yards as well as 11 solo tackles and 5 assists defensively. Ian Ramey had 7 solo tackles and 6 assists. Landon Mills had 6 solo tackles and 4 assists.

KNIGHTS SECURE NE8 VICTORY WITH A 14-10 WIN OVER DEKALB (4-0, 2-0 NE8)

by EN Football on Monday September 14th, 2026

Friday September 11th had a lot going on at East Noble. It had been 25 years since the September 11th attacks, a day that changed history and many of us never forget. East Noble honored our veterans with Military Appreciation Night. We are so thankful for your service for this country. The entire county showed up for Blackout with cars parked all the way to Bixler Lake. Finally, a rival matchup that has been electrifying the last 2 seasons took place. The Knights and Barons were both 3-0 going into Friday's contest with both continuing to remain undefeated and chase the NE8 title. Both teams also had a different stake within the same realm: East Noble wanted to continue their winning streak over the Barons to get win 22, The Barons wanting to end that streak dating back to 2007. A loose fumble and a field goal put DeKalb up 10-0 in the first half. The massive crowd mostly in East Noble's favor was overtaken by the visitors roars of excitement. One half remained and the streak was over. The Knights came out in the second and senior Easton Kline, 14/18 passing for 157 yards, connected with Alex Scott for a huge East Noble touchdown, sparking energy in the Knights and the fans. After a constant back and forth, the Knights defense pinned the Barons with under 5 minutes to play in the 4th. Alex Phillips scored the touchdown with a Roman Pita Kick to take the lead 14-10 with a minute of play remaining. The Barons desperate to strike, almost connect on an open pass before ultimately throwing an interception for the Knights to end the game and remain undefeated. That interception was Alex Scott's 18th of his career setting a new school record for career interceptions!

FORMER HEAD COACH DEPEW SPEAKS TO THE KNIGHTS

by EN Football on Friday September 11th, 2026

After Thursday night's practice, the Knights had the honor of having former head coach Chris DePew come and speak to the team prior to their game with DeKalb. Depew was the head coach for the Knights from 2001-2011 where he was 77-41, won 4 NHC titles and most memorably took the team to a 2003 4A State Finals appearance. Coach DePew is a staple part of this program and we are thankful for the path he paved for what we have today. His speech was not only inspiring for tomorrow, but showing the team how far this program has come in 30 years. Thanks for stopping by, Coach!
