East Noble Middle School FOOTBALLENMS Football 2024
Summer Information EN Football Academy: workouts held twice a week at East Noble High School’s football field and weight room. Players have the chance to work with HS and MS football staff with weight lifting, speed development and football fundamentals. These workouts are voluntary but highly encouraged. Workouts are held Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 10:00-11:30. Players meet at 10:00 on the high school football field’s home bleachers. Dates: June 4, 6, 11, 13, 18, 20, 25, 27 July 9, 11, 16, 18 ENMS Football Camp: this camp allows players to learn fundamentals and EN Football’s offensive and defensive systems with HS and MS coaches. It will be held Monday, July 29, Tuesday, July 30 and Wednesday, July 31 from 4:00-5:15 at ENMS Field. This camp is non-padded, so players should wear shorts, t-shirts and cleats, and bring water and gloves, if used. There will be a one-time cost of $40 for this camp. The attached application must be completed and returned by the first day of camp. Please make checks payable to Knights Football Camp LLC. Gear Pick-Up and Sign-Up: Monday, July 29 from 5:30-7:00 in the ENMS Commons. Players and families may enter through the main entrance. Here players will receive paperwork to complete, information for the upcoming season, and will pick up helmets, shoulder pads, pants and receive their locker. ENMS requires a one-time payment of $55 (payable to ENMS) to purchase pants, socks, mouth piece and t-shirt for the season. This may be paid on July 29 with cash or check, and is due by August 9. Physicals: all players are required to have a new IHSAA physical form completed by a doctor in order to participate in football and other sports at ENMS this coming school year. Physicals must have been completed after April 1, 2024 to be valid, and are required for the first practice on August 5. These may be completed at any doctor’s office or the Parkview Walk-In Clinic in Kendallville. First Practice: Monday, August 5 from 5:00-7:00 at ENMS Field. Players may enter through Door 10 (behind the school, towards the football field) beginning at 4:30 to dress. The first practice will be in “pro pads”: helmet, shoulder pads, practice jersey, shorts and cleats. Contact will be limited for the first few practices. ENMS Coaching StaffMatt Bennett - 8th Grade Head Coach
Coach Bennett is in his 12th year of teaching and coaching at ENMS, and 10th season as head coach. A 2007 graduate of Central Noble High School, he was a three year starter for the Cougars at guard and center. He is a 2011 graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Social Studies Education. Bennett teaches 8th grade US History at ENMS, coached ENMS track for 10 seasons and chaperones the Washington DC Spring Break trip. He is married to Chelsi, and loves being outdoors, travelling and watching football, basketball and baseball in his free time. A glutton for punishment, Bennett is loyal to the Chicago Bears, Purdue Boilermakers and Chicago Cubs. Brian McNamara- 7th Grade Head Coach
Coach McNamara is a 7th grade science teacher at ENMS. He is in his 17th year teaching and coaching, all with East Noble Schools. He is a graduate of Eastside High School, where he was a standout fullback for the Blazers in the early 1990's. Coach Mac holds a bachelors degree in education from IPFW, and a master's degree from Ball State University. He and his wife, Amy, have three children: Reid, Emma, and Nathan, all who have gone through East Noble schools. This will be Coach Mac's 17th season on the middle school staff as 7th grade head coach and coaching the defensive line. He is a fan of Oregon football and the New York Jets. Kaleb Cook
Coach Cook is a familiar face to longtime Knights fan. A 2016 graduate of ENHS, Cook played offensive line for the Knights, leading the way as the Knights won the inaugural NE8 championship in 2015. Following his senior year, Cook was honored as an Indiana All-Star. He played Division I college football at Morehead State in Kentucky, where he studied computer science. Cook is in his fourth year with the ENMS football team, coaching the offensive linemen and calling the 7th grade offense. Caden Conley
Coach Conley is also an East Noble Football alumnus. He is a 2020 graduate of East Noble High School, and was a starter on the defensive line for the 2019 NE8 & semi state championship team. He has a year of experience coaching in the ENYFL program, and brings his knowledge of line play to the middle school. He works in the trades, and enjoys sports and being outdoors in his free time. |
